Website Development for Pelican
Pelican Bus & Coach is the sole UK and Ireland importer and distributor for Yutong Buses and Coaches. It is wholly owned by Pelican Engineering Co. Ltd which was first established in 1919 and is the oldest commercial vehicle dealership business in the UK. Pelican also operates two truck dealerships in Yorkshire.
Yutong is both the largest Chinese and global manufacturer of buses and coaches, who have building zero emission vehicles since 1999.
Pelican Yutong recognised that they needed a new website that was more up to date, fit for purpose, truly represented the business and ultimately generated sales enquiries.
The design needed to be cleaner, more modern and have a clear user experience.
What We Did
Working with the marketing team at Pelican Yutong, we built an easy-to-navigate website, allowing users to view all product and service information.
The modern design uses high impact imagery and video that focuses on the products, people and after-care service that supports Pelican Yutong’s vision and overall brand message of quality, innovation and technological leaders.
The product pages include relevant and comprehensive info including imagery, downloads, finishes and features. A simple to use enquiry form is also incorporated with each product page.
In addition, the clear and simple user journey also allows the visitor to access the relevant information quickly and easily. This is also supported by a search function where the visitor can search by product name or code.
“We were keen to work with a local and established agency that would be able to develop a website that matched our detailed brief and timescales.
working with northern media has been a great experience. the design was exactly what we had hoped for and they have been in constant communication during the whole process.
we needed the site live for an upcoming overseas event and i’m pleased to say it was launched in time!
we have several exciting projects coming up and we look forward to working with northern media moving forward.”
